Not a bad exchange. I’m wearing a HR monitor for a while to measure the impact of workouts. My heart rate averaged about 154 when swinging and I’d burnt over 600 calories when I stopped swinging.
I did a little TGU practise, however most of my workout today- and it was long-was swings- 5 reps, 100 times with 12kg. Concentrating on shoulders down, lats activated, abs in and hips back- not much to think about then! I noticed that gripping with my hands (used to be told not to but now advised differently) helps me grip with toes and squeeze my bum. Then I think abs. Keeping shoulders down and lats engaged feels very strange. I’m not sure I’ve got this right. Hips improved as the workout went on though.
At 50 sets my hand started to bleed a little and one of the weight trainers came over to comment about how fit I was. Didn’t like to say that I was only half way through. Then some youths walked right in front of me and began to mess around on the pull up bars behind me. So I ‘accidently’ let go of the kettlebell as it swung back between my legs. The kettlebell shot across the mats and hit the back wall hard, must be getting stronger. They moved and let me get on in peace
